Ahoy Kamerad!

Game downloading...few hours to go.

Here's my plan from reading the forums:

1) Install
2) Make sure patched to 1.2
3) Do the introductory tutorial to get the 'Green Tick'
4) Sort out mods
5) Get campaigning

Do I need to consider anything else?

If you are going to add mods .. read about them so you will know what they will do to enhance your game !! :salute:

Progress to date:

I decided pretty much straight away that this could be the best non-MMORPG I ever played.

I have gone down the 'realism' route from the start and working through stoianm's brilliant video tutorials one-by-one, installing mods as I see them in operation and consider them essential (also looking at his mod list and working out where to find them).

It's going well so far; not been on a patrol yet but practicing all the nav and attack content faithfully until I get it right.

The only annoyances I can't get rid of so far are:

1) Can't move the XO TDC dialog to bottom right corner
2) Really difficult to see figures for protractor, ruler, compass when they over/underlay the ship position.

Loving it so far and major kudos to all the modders. It's a majestic co-operative masterpiece.

Cheers,
Charteris
