If you've read Vonnegut and if you are familiar with the author, this biography is a good look into the life of the author of Slaughterhouse 5 and Bluebeard. I think the book covers Vonnegut, highlights his early family life, some of the tragedies he lived through, and his troubled personal life quite well. As a former PR man for GE, he was adept at selling his own brand of countercullture author very well, especially when his writings did not match his own behavior. I wouldn't think of condeming Vonnegut for his hypocrisies, he was a complicated guy and very talented, and I view his blandishments as a goal that he set for himself, as well as the world.

Great book, get a copy and get back to me.

I am reading it now . so far it reads like the author is writing a script for a movie.but that is the style now. So they can sell it later. It is all right- not great but I liked vonnegut . I'll read anything they give me.

You're right, Vonnegut's life would make a really great film. I can see Fincher or Soderberg making this into a really compelling film.
