October '40...unescorted 4 ship convoy...of Irish ships...included a large tanker and a large merchie...
YUP...sank every one of them!!! Was that wrong of me to do?? haha
And, I like to watch my torps hit the target...cuz I have been judging how far below the keel to run my magnetics and seeing just how deep they do run...well, when I fired at the large merchie, I guess I had the speed off by just a hair, cuz I watched the torp hit the ship's propeller and spin away. Seriously...it actually hit one of the props and the spinning prop knocked the nose of the torp downward and I watched it spiral down into the deep.
I've watched torpedos bounce off the rounded portion of the bow or stern without detonating before,(which is why I have been interested in seeing just how deep to set the torps) but I was actually impressed with the fact that the game is actually "modelled" with the spinning prop and it hit the torpedo nose. Pretty cool.
