Aight so im using SH5 vanilla (no mods yet)

Q:
Your radio guy has an option to request resupply, but it's Always Denied. Are there any specific conditions you have to meet for it to go through, or is it tied to specific missions, or just doesn't work?

Q:
Sometimes i pick up a rogue escort (DD) and he'll just drive erratically at range, Keeping constant distance (as if hes attached to my sub somehow). Nothing will shake them, Turn towards him and he moves away. Turn away to get your stern tube lined up and he moves to the side. Nothing will make him come after me so i can get a shot, and Nothing will shake the bugger. And they just stick with you just inside his gun range untill your forced to surface Because of Co2 or batteries. Is there any way to deal with this?

Q:
Is there any actual benefit to sending radio reports.. I mean do they actually do anything besides attract DDs and Planes?

Q:
Are enemy Escorts just stupid? I can easily slip right under them into a harbor unload on a battleship or carrier sitting in there, then slide right out as long as i fire when they're facing away, They never even start pinging or depth charging?

Q:
Damage model on ships seems really dodgy. In the total Germany campaign its easy to get real close. I have tried Hitting the same ship type in the same spot again and again (successfully) And some times it destroys in one hit, some times its critical damage but you got a while before it dies or sinks, other times it takes off at top speed, only about 1/4 Damage. Any really great mods that address this?

Didn't get there yet, but as I read it will work later when you will sail closer to America.

It's a bug, dunno how to fix, didn't encoured it myself. May be reload will help.
Recommendation - don't save game when you are submerged and/or when you have any ships close to you (<60 km).

Your DDs and planes can come too. Dunno about u-boats.

They are stupid without mods. And those that stay in port even more stupid - they will start to action only if they saw you themselves.

@ Michael

about the rogue destroyer;
I think maybe it's a TC bug. That's when i normally get it. If im zooming along around 512x to cross open water then get suddenly reset to 1x or 35 is it? When enemy ship spotted. Then when i try to turn (after setting TC to 1x) he begins to do the behavior i mentioned before.

Tis why i save often ( i keep a custom named save game i keep saving in besides autosaves) That way if something dodgy happens i can just go back to that. Always do it right after i get a convoy report and get to intercept position.
