I've been on and off reading these forums for about two years now, so it seems. Never once posted anything, just reading and enjoying discussions. To be completely honest things will most likely remain that way.

About Silent Hunter... well I've tried couple of times to get into it, but has not succeeded yet. Maybe I demand too much from myself and try to jump straight into the deep end of things. That, I fear, cannot be helped, but this forum has kept me coming back to both reading and trying SH out again and again.

Now I have just loaded some mods to SH5 install and am ready to dive in, hoping that on this round I'll have enough time and patience to start enjoying the game itself as much as I've enjoyed reading these discussions.

Keep the discussions going and those great mods flowing!

Thanks,
Wanna-be-captain Horridus

Welcome aboard! :salute:

Horridus: I know you said it probably can't be helped, but do yourself a favor and jump in on the "easy" settings just to get a feel for the sim. Then ramp up the difficulty to keep the challenge going. It won't take long.

Welcome aboard :salute:

That's the thing about submarine warfare - it takes time and patience - although if you want constant action just keep sailing surfaced through the English Channel.
