problem with periscope and bridge view for sh3

Hi, I recently purchased SH3 through steam and it runs fine except for the fact that when i switch to bridge view or look through periscope all i see is black, it sometimes shows water around my sub, and occasonally i can see distant trees on islands or boats and/or wake trails. I'm not running any mods just the "vanilla" game and also I'm on vista so dont know if that matters. If there are any mods or anything else that helps with with this problem any help would be appreciated, would really like to get into this game, hope I'm not SOL. thanks!!

First thing I would do in your shoes - check for newer video drivers.

I wouldn't take in account seriously in what various detection tools tells you. Just visit your GPU homepage.

Could be a corrupt download/missing files ?

Go to the website for the manufacturer of your video card and download the latest drivers for your specific card. Then, do yourself a favor and download GWX3 Gold and SH3 Commander. :)
