I tried to find a post to see if there was a workaround for this but couldn't find it.
All my Language on board is German, except when I'm on the bridge, I get reports from the radio room in english. I didn't even notice this until yesterday.
My speech mods in order are;
1. Speech Fixes and Additions (German)
2. Mighty Fine Crew (Overwritten by DBSM)
3. Less annoying feetsteps
4. MCCD
5. DBSM (base)
This isn't the whole list just some of the more important mods dealing with speech or sounds.
I know this has happened before, does anyone know the cause and the fix??
Thanks in Advance!!

The only thing I can think of is that when you fiirst installed the game you didn't use the 'Options' section to change the language to German. After that the mod you used to change the voices to German didn't include the radioman. The part I find odd is that both DBSM mods should change all the voices.
So I'm not sure exactly what happened. :-?

Perhaps there is a Lord Haw-Haw mod? :hmmm:

Hi Steve,
No, actually I had to do a second reload when I found my original install was English. I went back and found that you have to use 'custom' install to get that German option. So, Like I mentioned, all of the dialog is German, even when I talk to the Radioman in "person" he speaks German, Like when he tells me about his brother on the Bismark:O:.
It's just when I'm on the Bridge and we get a message as in "Captain, I've intercepted an enemy message" or "Captain, we're getting a message from the Bdu". These are in English. That's it. Everything on else on the entire boat is in German:hmmm:.
So, now I'm looking into the message files from TDW's UI mod , (and I'm sure I loaded the right ones), to see if I somehow got the wrong files in there.
So, that's where I stand. I'll post my full mod list when I get to my game box in a couple hrs.
Thanks!

Are you playing with the latest TDW's NewUI mod?
It has new radio messages (ships send SOS-radio messages etc.) and the default language is english. There is is a german version also included in the UI-mod's MODS-folder. So install it too with JSGME and see if it helps. I had the same situation once!

The more I think about it, I think you are right. I have the latest version 'cause I get all kinds of cool messages (sos, sss?, we're torpedoed, hit a mine) but all in english and I think they're all stemming from the UI mod. Of course I want the message box in english but I know that the mod is already set up correctly, I just want the dialog in German. I'll re-install that file (if in fact I installed the right one in the first place ).
Thanks for that, I think this is the answer.
Danke Herr Kaleun. :salute:
