I am a fail modder. I tried to install TDW`s snorkel mod and couldn`t do it, so I deleted it. oh and I also apparently erased the navigator (not the actual character but his uses) and now I can`t get him to announce the depth under keel, or anything else. please help.:wah:

http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?p=1825044#post1825044Look for "User CP" at the top menu bar of the Subsim forum. On the new page a few lines below it you find "Edit Signature". You can edit it just like any other post.

Yes. Reinstall.

P.S. thank you anyway:salute:If you messed up your game files by installing mods manually then the best, easiest and surest solution is to re-install everything. You could waste a lot of time finding that single file that is corrupt. And then wondering how it should be repaired.
When manually editing game files always make sure you keep a backup of your game-folder!
The suggestion to use JSGME is because it can install mods and make them undone with a single click, while automatically making backups and give file-conflict warnings. But it requires the files and folders of the mod to be set-up in the right way, as they would be found in the actual game-folder.
Also the file-conflict warning gives you a head up that another mod might actually be breaking the stuff an earlier installed mod has change. Like for example your navigator functions not working, could be the result of mods installed after the TDW snorkel mod. (if you did!?!)

when you uninstall the game any added or changed file WILL BE left behind so after uninstalling it and before you reinstall the game open up your computer directory files when the game is installed and delete all remaining files found there then go to your documents folder and delete the sh5 folder found there so any corrupted save files are also removed
if you dont manually remove leftover files they will corrupt the new install
