Hello folks, Frustrated from UK here. Have recently downloaded and installed the TMO 2.5 mod, which I like a lot and thank you Dulcimus (?) for all the hours you spent on it. I also downloaded two compatible mods; Maxoptics and SCAF. Then I went into submarine school ( as you do) to brush up on manual targeting, and following all the rules for getting the data input ( except I had to guess the AOB as the map did not show any enemy boat). After successfully downing the cruiser I went back to the game I had been playing prior to downloading TMO, and in which I had not been using manual target system. I changed the options to enable manual target, saved and then went into the loaded game - but when I start the routine for gathering data on the target, I do not see any Stadimeter or TDC button so cannot go any further. I tried taking off all mods except TMO but that did not change anything, I set the game to 'Realistic' and that also did not change anything. I started a new career, and still nothing changed. I checked the options and manual targeting is still ticked - so what am I doing wrong - or does TMO work differently??

In campaign, you need to set the difficulty options in the office, the radio on the shelf. The main menu options won't change the in campaign ones.

You also said "went into the loaded game". I take it to mean that you loaded up a previously saved game? If so, you can't change the difficulty settings until you are back in port.

OK, thank you Razark, I will start a new campaign and make sure the difficulty is set to realistic in the office.

Yes! that sorted it! great, I can get some kip now, thank you

She-Wolf, be aware that SCAF may or may not be compatible with TMO 2.5. It's up to you to try it if you like, but I'll make no guarantees "Ship Centered, Accuracy Fix" will work with TMO 2.5. SCAF was made compatible for whatever specific version of TMO the readme states. Expecting older mods to work with newer versions of a once compatible version, may be asking too much. Depends on just what Ducimus changed to suit his needs.

My Optical Targeting Correction (OTC, which supersedes SCAF) mod was compatible with TMO 2.2 but it won't work with the latest TMO 2.5 changes. I'm working on an update and will release it soon. As Ducimus states in his post:

COMPATIBILITY:

Quote:
Trigger Maru is not compatible with any large modpack, to include enviromental mods. Exception to this is any version of RSRD made specifically to be compatible the latest version of TMO. All other large mod packs are NOT compatiable. The reason is, many large modpacks deal with the same files, and alot of unexpected results will occur.
Some folks like it that way. :D

SCAF for TMO_2 works fine for TMO_2.5
