Exactly what is the new requirements for medals? It appears to be as strange and weird as the rest of the stock game. I am in the middle of my 10th patrol (just got my Type VIIC), in August of 1940. I have one Iron Cross 2nd class and 4 Iron Cross First Class. However, I have not received my U-Boat badge despite having 10 patrols and I had a friend receive it after a patrol where he limped back to port with >10% hull integrity. What is going on?

Apparently so. Maybe I should give the Tommies all 340,000+ tons I sank over 10 patrols back. :D:haha::yeah:

He's gonna really hate me when my war log reflects a prioritization on sunbathing and shuffleboard for my current patrol in protest to some Beamter who lost my war decorations forms.

All silliness aside, I would like to know what the game's requirements for the War Patrol Badge are. I am guessing something is broken regarding the reward or just plain scripted wrong. Mid-1940, almost a dozen patrols and a historically unrealistically successful career more than qualify for the thing.

Find the name of that Beamter + his Dienststelle Fp.Nr., and beat him badly !! :arrgh!:

Seriously you guys we need a mod that will redefine the criteria for awarding medals. You need like 31000 t on a 2 week patrol to get an Iron Cross 1st class. I was in the North Sea, and I had 21000 t on a 1,5 month partol - which is still unrealistic and all I got was an Iron Cross 2nd class. The thing is that the medal award system is still linked with the stock version of the game which had totally unrealistic completion criteria. I mean one mission was to sink 300 000 t the best Ace Kretschner had 214 000 t. I mean it's not easy to find a ship and get into solution. Even if you read the campaign radio messages Subs end patrols with bearely 6000 t.
