New Member Help Please

Hi everbody

Name is Paul, new to this Forum so hope I'm in the right section

Found this Site courtesy of this gentelman from Norway. Currently at work on night shift on my Laptop.

Now for the questions Please. Still hoping I'm in the right Section.

I have Silent Hunter Commanders Edition V1.31 whch is the upgrade from the Original which I lost. I have run this Program before with no problems.

Have used Don Wells Tutorial to Install it and everything is starting up as it Should with Music and sound effects etc, but alas, no picture

Any help or suggestions Please

I haven't played SHCE in a very long time. IIRC, the Don Wells Tutorial was originally written for XP, what Operating System are you using? Vista? W7?

It might be easier to use Dosbox if it supports the game. I've never used it so I can't really give any advice on setting it up but there are several threads here about it that might prove useful.

Of course, you can probably get SH4 with the Operation Monsun expansion for a few quid now. Might well scratch that Pac war itch and is a very fine game. I've just reinstalled it after a long break and am quite amazed with some of the mods that have been released for it over the last few years.
