I spotted an enemy task force of atleast 12 destroyers and put it into a crash dive and set the depth using advanced commands at about 85m.

Submarine is at 200m and still sinking no matter what commands I give it. Is this some kind of bug? Boat is in tip-top shape and seemingly has zero control over how deep it can dive and what depth it stays at.

edit: I reloaded it as I didn't want to see what happened if I went below 200m, I got it to hold 90m pretty steady, then ordered it to do 125m, and it just keeps sinking, regardless what I do.

edit2: Ok I think I figured something out, it seems to be in relation to the underwater speed of the boat, if Im doing silent running it continues to sink, but if I speed up the propellers it goes stabilizes.

In stock SH5, this is a nasty known bug. TDW's UI Mod resolves this issue. If you aren't ready to mod the game, the depth keeping becomes worse at lowe depths. Crash Dive depth (70m) trims to ~74m at Kleine Fahrt. In order to maintain 150m, you have to order 140m and manually order speed to 2.6 knots, which trims around 152.5m and the boat bobs about half a meter. It is best to just install the UI mod.
