Problem with C02

Hey there.
I was just trying to kick off my new Career by completing a few missions. I sunk an enemy freighter and then carried on with my patrol. I started to get warnings about my CO2 level but i was not submerged. i couldn't find any way of fixing my apparant lack of air so i left it to see wat wud happen.... not surprisingly i blacked out. Is there something i must do to be able to breathe again? I havent been able to get passed the second mission in my career (due to bugs) since i bought the sim yesterday and its really starting to infuriate me. :damn:

Howdy there Slayer, and welcome!

AHHHH yes the cursed CO2 bug. I've definitely had the pleasure of it's company FAR too many times. From what I've noticed, and from what other modders have suggested, it's usually caused by alt-tabbing while you're on patrol. Sometimes I've had the alt-tab do nothing, and other times I've had the CO2 constantly rise. WHATEVER the case though, I've only seen this bug when I alt tab to go do something else.

Fortunately, whenever this happens I just save wherever I currently am, and reload that fresh save. This gets rid of the bug and YAHOO now my men can breathe again! :P

*Not a PERFECT solution, but it's the only one I know of, and it's not too terribly difficult ;)

Hope this works for you! If you're not using alt-tab or minimizing the game in any way and STILL getting the bug, well that's just screwy. And now I'll defer to any others who might have more advice :salute:

HAHA!!!! Cheers renegade! Yes i had to Alt Tab quite a few times during the last patrol so id say that that was the cause. NOTE TO SELF: When on patrol... STAY ON PATROL!!!!!! hahaha

I've had this bug happen to me only once yet (thankfully) and just like Renegade said, reloading a save fixed it.

Glad to hear that it worked for ya man! Yeah I've ALSO had to be more like, VIGILANT with patrols, I can't take any BREAKS or go alt tab away while I'm sailing across the Pacific, bah!! It's rough! HAhah no but really, it is a bit hard to stay focused on SUPER lengthy patrols. Damn ocean, needs to shrink.

Anywho yep, just patrol in chunks or alt tab and then just reload, all is good when you've got a magical game box! GOOD HUNTIN'! May your torps be explodey :salute:
