Since this question concerns a possible problem with one or more of your wonderful automation MODs I hope I won't be called a "thread hijacker" for placing it here but I just couldn't find any other more likely threads.
These MODs have been a tremendous help to me (and many others I'm sure) in learning a large variety of the various aspects of SH 5 and for that I thank you!
I've used all the automation tutorials for several months now and they've performed flawlessly until about three days ago. But now I've got a strange problem. Now when I open an Historical Mission with or with out an automation tutorial selected the automation tutorial is shown as running on the opening screen. This occurs whether I selected an historical mission alone or after selecting, first, an automation tutorial.
When the mission opens the boat is almost always on the surface, even those that used to open submerged. Since I'm on the surface and I need to be submerged the minute I try to submerge by any method the simulator freezes and the following error appears;
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program:N\Silent Hunter 5\sh5.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.
(I think we all know how this last suggestion will be handled by UbiSoft)
So far, I have disabled in JSGME;
Trevally Tutorials - All v0.2
Trevally Harbor & Canal Pilot v2.8
Trevally Automated Scripts v0.6
...and the above described problem still remains. I know there are still some Trevally automation hotkey modifications included in TDW's NewUIs_6_9_0 but I don't have a clue what I should do with them to resolve this.
Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

try removing my UIs mod and see if the problem still exists. If it does it sounds like something updated your Visual C++ runtime and it's not compatible with the game.
That sounds like a DLL call had an exception and Python didn't know what to do with it so it crashed.

Good Afternoon, TDW,
I removed your NewUIs_6_9_0 and the loaded SH 5 with the following MODs only;
Generic Mod Enabler - v2.6.0.157
[N:\Silent Hunter 5\MODS]
No Logo Intro Menu_Animation v. 01.00 by AvM
Loading Screens Mod 2.0
Church's Compass Dials Mod v2.2 - Option Two
Church's NavMap v1.0 - Blue Waters
Church's SHV 1.01 Keyboard Commands v1.1
NDB,NDH OM#1 - No Dialog Indicator
Trevally Automated Scripts v0.6
Trevally Harbour & Kiel Canal Pilot v2.8
Trevally Tutorials - All v0.2 (for TDW UI+OH II)
MightyFine Less Annoying Footsteps 1.0
Trevally's MODs would not work with out your New UIs MOD enabled. Tutorials were not even visible on the OPTIONS page as a selectable item. Everything worked perfectly. By selecting only an Historical MissionI could surface, submerge, go to periscope depth all without problem.
For the second attempt I used the MOD list above and only added your NewUis 6_9_0 and, without going through all the steps, all the problems disappeared and the system worked normally whether using Historical Missions only or from the Options page first entering a tutorial and then an Historical Mission or selecting only an Historical Mission.
Removing and then replacing NewUIs seems to have done the trick!
As usual, many thanks for truely world class support!
P.S. What is the function of the "Tool Helper" on the left hand bar where the plotting instruments are?

I can answer that one :-)
The tool helper is a toggle button.
When on (lit), the compass and the rule drawing tools have a 360 protractor attached to the mouse pointer. Which allows you to draw lines at specific angles easily.
When off, there is just a dot at the end.
Best thing to do is try it out with those two tools and you'll see what I mean.

Thanks, Jason,
Got it now (RE: the "Tool Helper")!
