They look like PLA-N.
Nice pics though, I've always wondered what the KPN's uniforms looked like.

Nice shots but what an awful colour for a sub.

In all honesty we joke, but one of those midget submarines sank a South Korean corvette... :hmmm:

The photo I posted was of a standard sized submarine of the Romeo class. What sank the Cheonan was this:

Iran operates them as the Ghadir class...

At periscope depth a submarine painted black can appear to be a black smudge on the ocean to an aircraft while a submarine painted green or light blue will be less noticeable and could be mistaken for something natural.

Usually black as I'm sure you know but I do recall having seen black and white conning towers on S and or T classes in the past (nuclear boats).

The Oberons had some Camo Paint in Desert Storm...

The Chinese navy painted one or more of their Kilo boats dark blue:

At PD subs tend to be vulnerable to air spotting regardless of their color...

Actually what sank the Cheonan was a Yono class, not a Sang-O (which is what the Ghadir is based on).

Most of those patterns are to get rid of bare metal, which would glint in the sun and be detectable from much farther off.

The photos I posted were of the Yono/Ghadir classes. The Sang-O is larger.

Those pictures look just sad. All of that equipment looks like from ww2. Although maybe that's a good thing.

Nice camouflage scheme. Works well, if that picture is anything to go by.
