1) Can't help you with that.
2) The only mod I know of that includes it is Magnum Opus.

Open the Data/Sound/Gramaphone folder and see if there's anything in it. If there isn't, click on Jimbuna's signature to download hundreds of files that will work.

To the best of my understanding, it is something in the stock sub config files. The boat will not trim properly. It is much worse at lower depths, where the boat will not trim at all. Installing Darkwraith's NewUIs_TDC_6_9_0 will resolve this issue completely. He will have the details as to what causes this as his mod fixes it.

So the Silent Hunter 3 Gramaphone tracks will work with Silent Hunter 5 :doh:

I have that installed ... last night I ordered a dive to 20 meters and the next thing I knew I was bangin' the bottom and my guys were cryin' like babies :nope:

Well, yes. MP3s are MP3s. That hasn't changed.

None of the games come with anything in the Gramaphone folder except the game theme song. I referred you to Jimbuna's collection because it's a big one. As Tak said, the music files from any of the series will work with any other.
They'll also work as ringtones for your cell phone.

How did you order the depth? Did you manually order it or use the buttons on the side?
Here is an excerpt of the config file for the Type VIIA, as modified by TheDarkWraith.
[Properties]
PeriscopeDepth=12;meters 12.5
SnorkelDepth=14.0;10.0;meters 12.5
CrashDepth=152;71;meters - is actualy 70, and will never reach 71, it will dwingle at ~70.5 - fix for updating interface. [Saitan Catalin]
MaxDepth=200;meters
DiveDepth=100;40;meters
SurfaceDepth=4.5;5;meters
TorpLaunchMaxDepth=20;meters
StormConditions=11,0.4;max wind speed [m/s], max rain intensity [0,1]Hitting the "Dive" button on the left-hand side overrides the default 40 meters to 100 meters. Crash Dive goes to ~150 meters, as patched. If you used the commands, this is probably what happened when you dove too deep.
