Deleted saved games

Could someone tell me is it possible to restore deleted saved games. I decided to delete some old saved games, thinking I will not be going back there. The stupid thing is all saved games after that are gone too. When I look in my SH3 folder those saved games still seem to be there. Is there a way to re-activate them?

What has been deleted is lost! You can easily ruin your career if you

delete any save from past patrols or whatever. Better to leave saves

alone or else you might end up headbanging your room wall.

I have had a lot of headbanging.
OK so keep all saves is the message.
I have had this game for two weeks now and am totally hooked ,my oh my, the best game I have ever played.
