He added that the employee is not working with customers anymore and that the incident is being dealt with through FedEx's disciplinary policy.

The statement that he is not working with customers is another example of what the heck is wrong with U.S. Companies today!
It should have been
"We fired his dead Arse and he is now un-employed!"
Another Union saveing a worthless piece of crap worker so We can pay more for shoddy service?

Let me guess?
He's not working with customers any long also.
Bet he still has his job as he is a Goverment Worker.
We all know THEY get special treatment!

If I crapped in someones yard (Not that I haven't) and got caught?
I'd be a Government intern or listed as a Sex offender or some BS.

Federal Express (FedEx) is not a U.S. Federal Government agency. Granted, it has the word "Federal" in its name, but it is not a U.S. Federal Government agency; it is a private company.

For example, the Federal Reserve System has the word "Federal" in its name also, but it too is not a U.S. Federal Government agency; it is a private organization.

I think he is responding to McBee's link to the story of a USPS employee taking a crap.
