A great European has passed away.

RIP Sir

Vaclav Havel, the Czech Republic's first president after the Velvet Revolution against communist rule, has died at the age of 75.
The former dissident playwright, who suffered from prolonged ill-health, died on Sunday morning, his secretary Sabina Tancecova said.
As president, he presided over Czechoslovakia's transition to democracy and a free-market economy.
He oversaw its peaceful 1993 split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

There are so very few people of his character in the world, it is always a great loss when one of them leaves us...

A great man who put it all on the line to smash the communist regime.

Think about how it would have went for him had it not worked. He was as responsible for ending the cold war as anyone else.

The Balkans is a tough place, always a hotbed of tensions, crossroads of cultures and such. Politically and socialogically it is something alot of us could never understand.

A true leader, Requiescat en pace, gentle soul.
