Hi Everyone,

Please could people give me some advice on what mod i should install? Im running stock sh3 atm.

I tried GWX in the past however i didnt really like it. Im not a hard core realism gamer, i prefer the more arcade style of just blowing things up.

I like the stock version however i long for more battle ships, more carriers, more passanger liners, basically just bigger things to blow up, im getting bored of destroyers and cargo ships.

Stock version with better ships would be perfect.

You can find many ships (liners , battleships etc in the download section under ships. Each one is stand-alone.
Most of them can be used in the stock version.

I would say to use the MFM but that adds cargos and tankers mostly.

Sounds Like to me you don't want different ships per se, just more of them.

First off, if you are really looking for the more arcade style of play, try Jim's spy sat mod, it gives you a gods eye. Jew of the world, allowing your to home in I targets quicker.

Also, I think your best bet would be to just edit the campaign files, back up the originals first. There are many other threads in the mods forums about using the editor, I'd check there. You would be able to greatly Increase the frequency of traffic, giving you more targets.

Outside of GWX, take a look at iambecomelife's Merchant Fleet Mod (link to thread) (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/Merchant%20Fleet%20Mod%20for%20Silent%20Hunter%203 ). I have not used it myself, but be aware that it take a lot of resources and there is a "lite" version to help address this issue. The links in that thread's OP no longer work, so go to the last page of the thread to find updated links.

This is the best option that I know of to get a TON of extra ships in one go.
