Ex-MPs ordered to repay legal costs of expenses cases

Former MPs David Chaytor, Elliot Morley and Eric Illsley have been told to repay thousands of pounds in legal costs after their convictions for falsely claiming expenses.
They were told by a judge at Southwark Crown Court to pay, between them, prosecution costs totalling £58,530 and to repay legal aid costs of £66,951.

When I was fixing domestic appliances I went to a house near (ooh, I wonder if this town will get asterisked out? If it does just look on Google Maps in the UK between Broughton and Keadby) S****horpe, and the lady until the month before had worked for Elliot Morely (this was about the time his scandel broke), she said that he (but not just him) used to get into the building ten minutes early and read the papers. That ten minutes before 9am meant he got paid lots more money, I think it was something along the lines of any work outside of 9 - midnight got a lump sum. :nope:

Robbing git, should still be inside and stripped of all assets.

That sounded wrong! :o But you get the idea, I hope.

MPs? Whipping? Of course, they usually have to pay extra though. :03:

I must admit to having been a semi regular visitor to parliament over the years and amazed at the lavish lifestyle some enjoy 'whilst away on business'.
