Which game can be played from the box

Could someone please tell me, out of SH3,4 or 5, which one can be played straight out of the box, without having to use mods.

SH4 Gold edition with U boat expansion. Its patched to 1.5, quite stable and enjoyable.

Doesn't matter which one - they are all much better with mods. If you are worried about hefty downloads there are people here that will gladly send you things on discs, I'm one but I'm in the UK so you may want to ask others closer to home first. :D

Have to second this, stock SH4 with Uboat missions pack was where I started out, and I stuck with it for a good while before adding mods. :salute:
