INTERCALC.EXE *
* version 1.1 *
* Mar 23, 2002 *
This freeware utility, created by David Sandberg, can calculate
optimal intercept solutions for any target for which you can
supply distance, heading, bearing and speed information. This
can be used to determine both weapon and vessel intercepts.

To upload it here at Subsim?
1. PM Neal Stevens and ask to be made a Modman, i.e. permission to upload stuff.
2. Email it to me and I'll upload it for you.
In either case, please make absolutely sure you have the author's permission to do so. Unless of course you are David Sandberg. :sunny:

--------------------------------------------------------------
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Windows 98/ME/2000/XP; 16 bit color display or better
--------------------------------------------------------------
CHANGES IN THIS VERSION:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Added option to use yards for input and output range fields, in
addition to meters (only affects time to intercept and lead/lag
distance calculations, and only takes effect the next time the
"Calculate" button is pressed).
Added calculation and reporting of run to enable distance based upon
desired percentage supplied by user.
Incorporated optional lead or lag distances into the targeting
calculations, and added new graphics to properly reflect such
situations.
Fixed graphical corruption when ranges dropped to extremely low
values.
Fixed a minor GDI resource leak.
Changed minimum target range to 100 yards or meters, rather than
0 (since 0 isn't really a valid range to calculate an intercept
for, and extremely low ranges cause rounding difficulties for
some of the plotting algorithms). Changed default to 1000 yards.
Changed Exit key to not verify the field inputs.
Put in slightly better checks for impossible intercepts. (Unfortunately
the math seems to break down a bit in certain extreme situations, so
there are still some rarely-seen, slight problems here, but nothing that
should be encountered in any realistic usage.)
Added a proper About box to the Windows control menu of the program.
Added a dialog background that is more appropriate for the topic than the
standard Windows dialog color.
--------------------------------------------------------------
INSTALLATION:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Simply extract INTERCALC.EXE from the distribution archive into
any desired folder and then run it. There is no installer, just
the EXE itself.
--------------------------------------------------------------
USAGE:
--------------------------------------------------------------
After starting the utility, you can enter each of the seven solution
parameters, then press the "Calculate" button (or the ENTER key on
your keyboard). The best possible intercept angle, time to intercept
and range to enable will then be displayed in the read-only (gray)
text boxes. In addition, a visual approximation of the solution will
be displayed in the graphic box on the righthand side of the dialog.
Graphics shown should be interpreted as follows:
Green Circle - firing ship's initial position
Red Diamond - target ship's initial position
Orange Star - point of weapon intercepting target course (if
lead or lag distance = 0)
Black Target - point of weapon intercepting target course (if
lead or lag distance <> 0)
Faded Diamond - target ship's final position (if lead or lag
distance <> 0)
Red Tapered Line - weapon path
Grey Tapered Line - target path
If no solution is possible, this fact will be reported via the
message "Intercept not possible" in the graphic window and the text
"N/A" in the Time to Intercept text box.
You can change one or more data fields and then recalculate the
solution by pressing "Calculate" (or ENTER) again. Press the
Exit button or hit the Escape key on your keyboard when you are
finished with the utility.
Lead Distance is used to specify a distance to lead (send weapon
to a spot in front of) or lag (send weapon to a spot behind) the
target's expected position. Positive values in this field will
lead the target, while negative values will lag the target. Note
that the determination of valid intercepts does not pay attention
to whether the weapon's speed will be sufficient to thereafter
overtake the target in lag situations ... it merely checks to make
sure that the weapon can be successfully delivered to the requested
position relative to the target.
Enable Range can be used to calculate the range the weapon should
travel before enabling itself (if applicable). For example, if you
want the weapon to enable when it is three quarters of the way to
the interception point, you would enter 75% in this field. The
same field can also be used to report the actual full distance the
weapon must travel before reaching the target (by specifying 100%
as the Enable Range).
You can change the utility to use either yards or meters for all
calculations by selecting the desired standard in the "Units for
range input and output" box. A change of this setting will not
take effect until you recalculate the solution (by pressing the
"Calculate" button or hitting the ENTER key).

Since Intercalc is a freeware utility, support opportunities are
very limited. Questions, comments, bug reports, and suggestions

As you can see, there shouldn't be any problems. This is an old one it seems. Idon't think it appears anywhere now as far as I am aware.

Pardon me for buttin' in :D but it's already available on Subsim... http://www.subsim.com/subsim_files/patches_sh2.html
Scroll down to SH2 Bonus or use page search.

If it's 1.1, then Jan is right, it is available at the old downloads section.
There is an intercept calculator online that I've been using.
Google luizmonteiro (not Neil Stevens).
Click on the aviation calculations home result.
When the page comes up, click the Aviation calculations link on the left.
Then radius of action.
Then intercept moving target.
