That's why I don't chat on the Internet any more. Last time I was chatting with a 14 year old girl posing as an FBI agent.

Talk about awkward. :o

When chat lines were at their peak I would occasionally name myself as a woman online to teach my kids just how easy and also potentially dangerous the internet could be.

It was a lesson well learned by my kids...they never went onto chat lines.

The are two very important thing the young have to learn if they want to chat

1. Never us their real name and their age(e.g Rebecca12)
2 Never reveal things about them self to others on the chat.

If some is talking "funny" to them, they should get a grown-up to help them.

The only time I ever visited a chat room was in the old Sub Club, where we would meet to arrange multiplayer SH2/DC games. Had a lot of fun with fellow subsimmers, but I can't imagine doing that anywhere else.

Ohh those wunderful days, I had real fun. Remember start up on our mIRC channel and all thos CTD and back to the channel.
