Interesting document! Thanks for the link, mate!
BTW, is there a possibility to simulate the amount of food aboard the u-boat realistically?
Instead of linking the "amount of food" to "amount of fuel" like in one available mod, link "amount of food" to "days at sea" AND "crew number" AND "u-boat type"? Just thinking out loud here :hmmm:

Very interesting article (and I thought I had scavenged pretty thoroughly at Uboat.net).
I am wondering about the 1226 lbs of bread dough. I am assuming it was "canned" in some way, as you can't keep fresh bread dough (Yes, I bake a lot!) for very long. Or was it a premix that they added yeast to the day before (14 lbs a day would not strain a small galley)?'
A modern chef would probably change some of the ratios, but it is pretty clear they were getting far better nutrition than most civilians.
Thanks again for finding and sharing!
Suprised to hear mention of a 'small refrigerator'.....
Didn't think they had those until maybe the type XXI.
