Are flares modeled in and if so are they player useable on the U-Boat :06:

Depending on your super-mod, (or lack thereof), they are for merchants in distress. But the closest you can get for the player would be star shells fired from the deck gun. Of course if you're running GWX this requires a little extra modding. :sunny:

There is a mod hereabouts which allows surface vessels to fire off red flares....a search should find it.

These ones have them:
SH4 Effects (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=455)
SH4 Effects compatible with GWX (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=1420)
and I think Lifeboats and debris (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=2901) has them

Edit: sorry got that wrong, I thought you meant distress flares for other ships. I'm not with it today, I'll leave the links up though in case anyone is after distress flares for ships :O:

You have to add the star shell ammo in the Basic.cfg file and then reactivate the texture and tool tips through menu_1024_768.ini. :sunny:
