Click this link:
http://www.gamefront.com/files/user/jimbunaGWX3.0
From that page, you will need to download the following files:
GWX3-3.bin
GWX3-1.bin
GWX3-4.bin
GWX3.exe
GWX3-7.bin
GWX3-2.bin
GWX3-6.bin
GWX3-5.bin
Save them all to the same place on your computer (all on the desktop or in the same folder somewhere on your hard drive). Don't save them inside your SH3 game folder.
Double-click on the GWX3.exe file and it should start intalling automatically. (If you have not installed SH3 to the default location for programs in your operating system, you may have to point GWX to the game folder when it starts up.)
GWX will only install over a clean, unmodded installation of SH3 v1.4 so make sure you have that in place and ready to go before you start.
If you scroll down the Gamefront page at the link above, there is also a torrent download that will give you everything you need in one file if you want to download that instead of the seven files listed above.

When you are getting that message? I can't imagine a Windows OS not recognizing .bin and .exe files, unless the file extension is missing. There was a problem a while back with Filefront stripping the .exe extension off of that one file at the old download page, but it hasn't been happening recently as far as I know. :hmmm:

Ops, sorry, he says : file format is not valid or not supported... it's a .bin file, as you know, and i never had problems with powerISO...

powerISO is software primarily for managing CD/DVD content, isn't it? I'm not really familiar with it but I don't know why it would even be involved in the process. Windows should recognize .bin and .exe files. Double-clicking the .exe file should start the installation program and that's what needs access to the .bin files, you don't need to open the .bin files yourself. You don't need to do anything with them except save them to the same folder the .exe file is in.
At what point in the process are you getting this message? What are you trying to do when it pops up?

You need to download all 8 files in the list in my first reply. But you don't click on any of the .bin files. You don't have to open them or run them or do anything other than save them all in the same folder with the GXW3.exe file.
When you have all 8 files saved to the same folder, double-click the GXW3.exe file. That's the only file you need to click on. :DL

One more question - are you actually saving all the files to your own computer, or clicking "Run" or "Open" when you hit the Download button and the box pops up asking what you want to do?

I'm unfamiliar with Firefox, but where on your computer were the downloaded files actually saved? All 8 of them need to be in the same folder on your hard drive. The easiest thing is to save them to your desktop, and after they are all saved to that location, doubleclick on the icon for the actual .exe file on your desktop.
It sounds to me like what you are clicking on is not the icon for the actual saved file, but an icon for their position in a download queue? Or else it's trying to open and run the files from their location on the Gamefront server and that won't work. :hmmm:

Nope, just having a bad day. :DL
Just get all the files saved properly and run the .exe, if you have problems from there just ask and we'll get you sorted out eventually.
Your not stupid, we've all been there before. Be sure to put all the downloaded files inside one folder then click on the .exe one to get things started.
