Second day of deliberation for the jury.....why so long? :hmmm:

Jurors hearing the trial of two Pakistan cricketers accused of match-fixing in London have retired to consider their verdicts for a second day.
Former Test captain Salman Butt, 27, and fast bowler Mohammad Asif, 28, are alleged to have plotted to bowl deliberate no-balls in last summer's Lord's Test against England.
The pair were charged after an undercover reporter recorded sports agent Mazhar Majeed, 36, boasting of how he could arrange for Pakistan players to rig games for money, London's Southwark Crown Court heard.

Well to all intents and purposes Butt, Asif and Amir get five year bans with the first two also being expected to ' participates under the auspices of the Pakistan Cricket Board in a programme of Anti-Corruption education'.

That last part made me laugh :DL

So any bets on whether they do jail time?
50 on both getting 6 months but out in 2
50 on Asif getting solitary in the second week of the 2nd month
100 on Butt falling down the stairs on a wednesday afternoon twice in the first month.
They did say it would be offering good odds

The Pakistan team have issued a statement expressing their shock at the involvement of three Pakistani players in match fixing and promised to clean up their act before the 2-1 series defeat to the West Indies next year.
