Hey Mates! I have been playing various versions of SH for years but I failed to collect all the mods for Silent Hunter 4. Now that I am back to play it again after several years, I cannot find the mods I recall nor can I find the ones that are referenced in the forums and workshop. A great number of the links are now gone. Is there anywhere that still has all the mods that used to be? I am playing SH 4 with patch 1.4 only. I have looked high and low and even under water and can't find many. I got a few but not some of the great ones that I would really like. When I say "mods" i am referring to the many, many mods so generously cranked out by the experts for SH4. Aside from Onkel's Download page are there no more? Have they all evaporated? I know there used to be a ton of them. Is there no way to recover them for future submariners? Didn't anyone or any place save them all for posterity and for lazy sailors like me? Anybody got some clues what warehouse on the naval base they are stored in? It's enough to make me want to turn my cap around and hike my pants down around my buns. Thanks for your time. ~ Friendly Fritz :wah:

Between us we probably have every mod that's been made. I know I have many in my personal collection. If you put up a list I'll be glad to put up every one I have here at Subsim Downloads.

Meanwhile you might have a look around our Downloads section, and also try here:

This same situation seems to happen a whole lot recently...

You are the only person who knows what mods you want. We don't know what you're looking for. If you can't remember the names of the desired mods, then we need at the very least a description of what they do. Nobody's going to read your mind.

Pretty good point. Pretty damned good point. My wife expects me to be psycho ... errr .... psychic.

Me - "But honey, how was I supposed to know that the tenner I donated to subsim.com was, in your mind, set aside to feed the kids?" (j/k)

p.s. Speaking of - if yer gonna reap the reward, feed the kitty, at least first officer level or captain level, if yer a cheap bastage like me. (This is a general advertisement - nobody singled. Sides - you all already did it, right? :D

I'm goin' down

Your post needs to be more specific as to the mods you seek. Someone will likely be able to help you out as to specific, hard to find mods.

Yeah either that, or just give it up and try out the new mods. I think it is hardly possible that older mods are better than the more recent, improved ones.

Oh, not so true, Sir Daniel! Check out Dowly's Pearl Harbor Menu (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=1190) and tell me that any later similar mod of such magnificence has reared its ugly head!:D

Optical Targeting Correction (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=181172) has an edition for SH 1.4.

I didn't forget about my buddies who still like to play the game without the "Nazis in the Pacific" (sounds like a Tarzan movie from 1950)!

Hehe. The download page explains this: "If this doesn't get you in the mood for a fight, nothing can! It's just a masterpiece." Right-o!
