Hi all,
After a few mongy questions that I cleared up for myself after using what I call my brain but others call the GIUK gap, I now have a serious one.
Im using Ops MONSUN & 705-720 patch. OMEGU for graphics plus a one or two more graphic (not gameplay) mods.
Im about Jun 1942 and have just completed (with help from Milche Cowe boats) my sixth, YES SIXTH redeployment in the mid Atlantic without seeing a SINGLE ship!
However I keep getting plots on a circle icon marked 'large convoy'. Ive investigated once and tracked what I believe to be a convoy of submerged subs!!??
My Q is this. How historical (Im guessing not) is a convoy (in battle formation) of enemy submerged subs. & 2 has anyone else encountered this lack of contacts.
I know the Atlantic is a VERY big place but on the two previous patrols I completed my assigned areas then went hunting off of Scotland and the Western Approaches, still not a bean!!?? (Oh apart from on lone destroyer which I sank)
My first couple of patrols I met several lone ships and convoys so they are out there!
