Hey all! Long time no talk!
Old rig finally got traded in for a new super rig. (Quad Core i7, 8 gigs ram, 1.5 tb hard-drive...basically more computer than I would ever need for SH3). This was a few months ago now, but life got busy and never got around to reinstalling SH3 before this. Had intended to try out SH5 actually but the stupid small city I live in doesn't have anywhere to buy it in person and I'm not a fan of buying online via credit card unless it's absolutely worth it.
Anyway...nostalgia kicked in and I reinstalled SH3. It went perfectly, for the most part. I had all of my mods saved from my old computer to transfer over. Figured this would be the easiest since I have a LOT of modified mods in my arsenal specifically tinkered to work together without activating multiples. (ie. I configured the commands.en and cameras.dat to work my FM_Newinterior, b25widescreen and SH3Speech in one shot by simply activating FM_Newinteriors) and not worrying about activating the other two. I figured rather than having to reconfigure everything again I could just transfer them all over. Make sense?
Everything works well except that for some reason I can no longer get into my free-view (walking view) to stroll around my cabin like I could on the old rig. This is due to one of two reasons:
1) I had changed something in the stock on the old rig that I haven't changed on the new rig. (ie. movement controls) or...
2) I changed the command to enter free view (Shift f12) and simply can't remember what I changed it to since it's been so bloody long. (Most likely)
My question then is where do I look for that command in the command.en? What is it's actual title in the .cfg file. For the life of me I can't remember and I won't know if I changed the command until I find it. I can play without it, but it's not as much fun as wandering the corridor while stalking a merchant ship.
Anyone have any idea what could be wrong? When I hit Shift f2, my arrow keys are supposed to move me around, but all they do is swivel me around now. Same with the ASDW keys (with the unhappy side effect of diving me at the same time). What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance and darn good to be back!
