I have a playlist on youtube set up with some songs I like. Help keep my calm and entertained. Though sometimes Ill check on my favorite LPers, and watch some Silent Hunter videos :smug:
So, as the title says. What do you during those long, airplane ridden voyages?

To better commiserate with my crew, I try to replicate their diet.

This may explain my generally poor health. :D

I add many of the radio stations created by Fred. Several include comedy, war news, political speeches and songs by all the ww2 favorites. When u dive you can't pick them up, so I run mine in the background with media player.
If that isn't your thing, stick to youtube.
I have the laptop set up on the desk next to the computer. I surf the web and watch movies. Sometimes I'll read a book while I wait for something to happen.
I'm goin' down

I spend my time thinking of ideas to start a thread with a "brilliant" post similar to yours. Then I give up.

I don't do anything else. I play the game so I can play the game, not so I can ignore it and do something else. :sunny:

Yeah, I'm a big fan of "The Great Gildersneeze" now. And my crew goes nuts if we miss the latest "Capt'Midnight". We called off a task force for that one.
I just wish I could get "Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition" outta' my head, the girl singer is creepy in that song.:o
The Crew loves to watch and laugh at sub movies....whoops, my wife is calling..."COMING DEAR!!!":D
Geez. You'd think pRon sites didn't exist anymore. :03:

I have installed a little mod in the game that puts a laptop on the captain's desk. On this laptop I play SH4.
I also installed the little mod on this latop...

I do indeed listen to the radio, but do no "external" things.

I generally tc past 2000 from midway, and set a RP just 2000 from intended area.. Zigs included, I leave the laptop, go out and smoke a cig, and when a contact is made, the sub automatically dives to p. depth...

I do that I come back to a flash message and the game has only progressed a day or so...:wah:
I do what Sailor Steve said.
Happy Hunting!

I always felt that there is something to be done even at 4000x tc. Even it it is just watching around for reefs or small islands in the navigation map, which only appear when you zoom enough.

Ahh
In the thousands of battles submarines have had with tiny islands, the submarines have never, EVER won.
Java Sea, Borneo area is treacherous with those little buggers and there is one enroute Midway from S. Japan my helmsman always likes to steer for. Wonder if the Dev's did that ...... naw, they wouldn't would they? - lol

At flank speed, I once managed to inadvertently go over one of them right back into the water on the other side. I like to think I was the war's only amphibious fleet boat.
