Great North Run

The Great North Run finish line is approx two miles from my home and is always attended by the Red Arrows so you can imagine what I was sitting in my back garden watching today :sunny:

That's quite a crowd. I bet they were all [characteristically] polite to each as well.

The only time we have that many people get together for an event in America is when we are about to lose an entitlement and everyone comes to protest, while eating hot dogs and french fries off of food trucks.

I don't think we have that many people who could run that far, outside of the military.

I could be wrong but I believe it is the biggest half marathon event in the world....in terms of participants.
