As a former coal miner myself I hope they find these four lads alive.
And to be honest I didn't think there was any coal mines left in Wales after Thatcher destroyed the mining industry in 80s.

Hopefully they'll locate them and get them out.
Alas one will not be coming out alive.
It's a terrible shame, miners are a special breed of men, and this will hit the small community hard.

another one of the miners has been found, dead.
There is still hope for the two remaining miners.
Alas three bodies have now been confirmed. The search continues for the last miner, here's hoping...

As much as it pains me to say this, but it doesn't look good for the last miner. Lets hope i'm proved wrong.

The body of the last miner has been found.
May Charles Breslin, 62, David Powell, 50, Garry Jenkins, 39, and Phillip Hill, 45 rest in peace.
However, 3 miners did manage to escape the mine. in a act of heroism 2 of the three miners aided rescuers in the search for there 4 workmates.

So very sad. My heart goes out to their loved ones.
A tragedy indeed, particularly in such a small mine and community.
