Solyndar, U.S. Government at it's best, just like I said, can't run a lemonade stand. Pass this bill, green jobs, shovel ready. Bankrupted before it opened, a thousand or so jobs lost, guess they will want 99 months of unemployment. Let's see if I got this right, it cost the tax payer over a 100 thousand dollars too create 1 job that didn't make it one year. And they didn't sell one, or make one cup of lemonade, man I'm thristy. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/solyndra-hearing-update-gop-reps-grill-obama-officials-over-taxpayer-funded-energy-loan/ I was waitin on someone to post this, no one would bite, so I figured I would rant, with my nonsense. Now that it has been posted, it has happened.

So a business went out of business and somehow this is the government's fault?

man, yubba, what are you talking about?
bad dream?

Obama opens a lemonade stand, spends 500 million on solar panels, and secret service people giving everyone buying a cup a background check

and it fails?

The goverment blocaded Cuba and the stand could not buy Cuban lemons, which are better than Portorican lemons. Because Obama refuses to lift the embargo US lemon stands fail all over the world to Chineese lemon stands, which use Cuban lemons and steal customers

Are there three extra words there?:rotfl2:

So this story is that the government backed a loan to a US company which was going to create jobs by manufacturing in an expanding industrial sector, but US companies just can't compete with the Chinese working in the same sector so it went tits up.

I believe the Chinese were already touting panels at substantial reduced costs. It was on the Discovery Channel for crying out loud. Why did this company not see it coming? Everything from China is gotten for pennies. This was a bad business venture by Capital Hill. There was little if any investigation of what Uncle Sam was getting into as my guess.

At least you understand it is nonsense. This is the first step to recovery. :O:

Not all businesses succeed, and some fail for purely market reasons or simply due to bad execution. There's nothing wrong with that and it's part of the capitalist way.

But there is something fundamentally stupid about the government being in the business of trying to pick winners and losers, and in this case, doubling down on what is now apparently a big loser, squandering nearly half a billion dollars in the process. :nope:

if you dont have a cost effective product then you just never produce that product and take the tax write off, :hmmm: unless the goverment calls you and says they want to give you 500 million dollars even though they know your buisness cant survive :woot:

then you hurry up and deposit the check and hide the money then go backrupt :yeah:

This is about like the situation near me.
A Company that makes Solar Products wanted to buy a GM plant that is shut down.
They offered a bid but since the Government owns the property?
The bid was not high enuff so they went elsewhere.
All the money spent by local Goverments is wasted, no jobs are created,
(Thus no taxes to any Government)
and the whole area let alone the Country still suffers!

I think I'll declare War on the U.S.A.
:hmmm:

Once they bomb the Hell outta me?
I should make out like a Bandit once the re-building starts!
:haha:
