Landscape full screen?

Hi guys,
I haven't played SH4 in a while and now I have a new laptop.
The problem is that I can't get SH4 to fill up the screen. IOW, to the physical horizontal extents of my screen.

My laptop screen resolution is 1920 X 1080 but when I pick that resolution in the game options, it doesn’t fill up my whole screen area.

Any ideas?

What type of graphics card to you have? If you have an NVIDIA card, try going into the NVIDIA Control Panel and resizing your desktop.

My card is a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670
My desktop is set at 1920 X 1080. Orientation:“Landscape”

I’m actually using a widescreen Hanspree HD
that is connected to my laptop and I do get some games to fill
up the whole screen right up to its physical dimensions, notably
Flight Simulator FSX and “Rise of Flight”
OTOH, some games only fill the screen top and bottom like
SH3 and SH 4.

Is 1920 x 1080 the native resolution of the external monitor? I find that I sometimes have problems like that when not using the native resolution on my monitor.

You have to make sure that your screen resolution matches the same resolution that you have set for the game. You do this by going into the game's Graphics Settings and choosing the proper resolution.
