:damn:Ok firstly apologies if this is in the wrong place but something strange seems to be happening to me ok i got my sh5 running with a few mods and decided i would add real enviroment revision 2 to my mods, well it looked awesome but after about 15 mins i got a ctd with an error message.
So i tried removing the mod didnt work, uninstalled and deleted all ubi and sh5 folders etc, reinstalled and now when i run stock sh5 with no mods at all i load my save up and after about 30secs of load screen the program closes but i get no error message or anything bit copnfused and not realy sure what to do bought the game 2 weeks ago and so far i have got so miffed with its faults i havnt played much at all and i realy want to :(
Any help apreciated.

Things to check:-
Did you update the game to 1.2
To use a save game - you must use the same mods (some of them)
Load a bunker save - not at sea
If you dont want any mods - start a new career
ahh thanks for the tips,i think il give it a go later on a virgin install fresh campaign see if i can at least get stock working
Thanks Trevally working now just hit a 7600 t tanker east of grimsby , blew it right in half , i love these mods from here,awesome that people put this time in for modding.
Had to restart my career but no biggie i was just farting around anyway to start with, i did notice what i thought was a red sos flare fired by the tanker or i could be mistaken :D.

Update your Windows...it might fix it.
already on latest version, might just be one of those strange random ctd`s

Try to install MO first and then an othter mods...
ok i will try to install mo first , at the end of my teather now with this game stock game is horrible so im not even considering playing that got a copy of sh4 but never got into it...seriosly giving it some consideration after this weeks performance, getting about 5 mins of play then sh5 just closes no error or anything, easy have enough specs to run on almost full settings and im cutting everything back too to save performance and still nothing :(
20 mins so far so good installed mods in this order so far and actualy manages to sink a 16k tonn armed merchant cruiser just west of the orkneys :rock:

Re: Nauticalwolf's_Damage_and_Torpedo_UI(g)_Mod_v1.1 - MO already has a damage/torpedo screen mod included; if you want to use this one place it as above, but check compatibility with MO & NewUIs with TDWs SH5 Validator (found in mods section) just in case.

will do :) soon as i get back to port which wont be long since my fuel is running low and i cant seem to find were the british are bucketing around :)
If i want to add dynamic enviroment mod just to try it would it be safe to stick it on the end or should i list all mods i plan to use and see if you can help me, i checked http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/album.php?u=223410 but it seems a lot of mods and some i dont realy feel i want or think i need such as real navv and a few others.

Dynamic Environment would be fine to add on the end, but remove U-Boat Watch Crew Routine SFX first as it may get overwritten depending on which bits of Dynamic Env you choose to install. Just add it back in after DE and it'll work fine.
I have DE in my mods list (in sig) if you want recommendations on which aspects of DE to use (note, I don't use sounds as I have Stormy's DBSM, but they are good if you don't use DBSM). If you want to list the mods you plan to try then go ahead, I'll have a look - or you can follow the install order in my list with the mods you want (leaving out any you don't, just keep the same order) and you should be fine.

Only one way -> Step by step and test...
About what I found with mods is that some mods order works very well an others Kaleun but not mayby works on my boat.
Ok - I had a few mods that are already included to MO/OH and caused problems and CTD. I read MO's readme again and found about what I did wrong so a good advise is RTFM :know:
step by step takes long time though, install mod load game load save play excit game next mod load game etc etc ...bit long winded for me

HI Lazlow. Are you sure you have the MO patch2 installed correctly. It should not come up on your list like that. When you download the patch open the folder below in yellow. Copy and paste it to your MO folder. This will overwrite/merge it. Then enable MO via JSGME.

Or you can copy and past above folder to your SH5 Mods folder and enable it via JSGME.
I have a feeling your mods folder has Magnum_Opus_v0_0_1_patch_2 in it with the next folder being MODs. This is incorrect. Every mod you have in your MODs folder, the next folder should be data.
Ahh thank you i checked and i do indeed have the patch 2 folder inside mods not inside magnus op, going to change it as soon as i put in,which is very soon going to disable all my mods and re enable them as 0rpheus suggested, thanks guys you realy have helped me a lot i only hope i can help someone the same way sometime :)

Taken a look at it but seems a bit confusing seems to be a few conflicts with magnus opus
ok i can play historical missions no probs soon as i load up a campaign Sh5 has encounterd a problem and needs to close :hmmm:

Post up the output from the Validator :)
At a guess, Equip_Upgrades_AFFOE is for Fistful of Emblems (which you're not running) so that could be causing trouble. Also, make sure you test out a new campaign rather than just loading an old one.

i tried some tinkering and removed everything and including open horizens and i can now start a campaign so is v 1.3 of this mod stable and working im using 1.3 full not sure if i need to remove anything from this .

As far as I know OHII v1.3 is stable, I'm not using it though so can't say for sure. You could try swapping it for the latest version of OHII Base + Environment (leaves out the new ships) to see if it's more stable.
Ok, things to try. Remove Mighty Fine Crew mod as there's a version already in MO. Remove Equip Upgrades AFFOE as you're not running Fistful of Emblems. If you want to replace it, use Equipment Upgrades Fix v1.2 by TheBeast and put it at the end. Remove Church's NavMap as I don't know how compatible it is with MO.

The rest of the conflicts listed in the validator output look like expected 'clashes' where a newer version of TDWs UI overwrites the older version in MO. TDW would know more, I'm sure he'll chime in if he spots this.
If this still gives you problems, try removing everything and adding them one at a time, and note which mod causes the first crash. It's worth mentioning (just in case) that once you install OHII you must start a new campaign, any old saves from the stock campaign won't work.
Keep at it, we'll get there in the end! :salute:
Thank you for the help again i am determined to keep on plugging away with it , although my dusty copy of sh4 ontop of my cupboards is looking attractive right now,playing football manager inbetween load screens :D .
ok managed to get a new save started i cant choose anything from the guy who handles equipment and load outs though i cant change my torp load outs or anything , perhaps it has something to do with no renown or perhaps

So far so good on my way out of kiel in one piece , only one thing now, im getting spammed by submarine spotted radio messages :D :damn: :rotfl2:

Yeh i no were it should be but i swear its not there , i checked google and found a solution for it to use the box your speaking of but when i open my messages no arrow to change options :S

Sweet dont suppose you no why i cant acces the radio options when i click the button all i see is the date no option button to stop the spam of "sub sighted, had a look in the TDW options and found a line RE radio messages but im a bit scared to change anything :D

Not sure why the radio options aren't showing up, if you could take a screen of the radio window so we could have a look, it'd help. It should be a small button as ametlib describes.
As far as the Esc crash goes, sounds like it could be a memory issue. Post your system specs, it might give us an idea of what your pc should be able to cope with. If you're still using OHII Full, swap to Base + Env as I mentioned earlier.
Is this happening with the install order I gave you earlier, or are they in a different order?

intrestingly i remember when i installed the game there was an red x on compatability screen saying the graphics driver is out of date on my pc, but i checked on nvidias website and my driver is latest version :hmmm:
well got the mods running better than ever now , solved the messages thing with the missing button...must not have installed ( see read instructions) for new ui properly :)
But...still getting a random ctd with no error report, can easy meet the recomended specs for this game so im scratching my head at the moment as to why.

so not sure if thats causing some problem at a dead end interms of finding anything other than playing for 10 mins+ or untill i get a ctd with each mod on 1 by 1...which im not doing today since im up in 6 hours for the gym ...o well
