can't find screenshots

I took some screen shots in SH3 and I cant find them on my computer. I am using the Steam version of Silent Hunter 3.

If I remember correctly (cause I use a separate soft to take screenshots) You should find all your screenshots in the main SH3 folder....:DL

Glad I solved that fr you....:yeah: In fact I had the same srt of problem some time ago...I was just going through all my SH3 folders....when I saw all this pics files in the main folder :06: (some 40 of them)! I
That is when I decide to use a separate software for screenshots...

1. No I do not use Res-Fix
2. My screen shot sof is Grab Clip Save (GCS) . Not sure the web page is still on .... real nice an easy to use!
If you would like just tell me & I'll send you a link for GCS v.14.0

sorry to have to bring this subject back up, but I also have the steam version, with GWX...and cannot seem to find my screenshots anywhere. It's getting to the point now where I am convinced I've looked in just about every damned folder. Does anybody have a direct location to where they are ?

Steam changes the file directories for SH3.

GWX does not alter where screenshots are kept.

Well like I repiled to WWII44, whei I used the SH3with GWX screenshot key "Ctrl+F11" all where stored in my main Sh3/GWX folder...
To stop that I use GCS (GrabClipSave) which can be found at the Download Center ; http://ns2.citydetails.info/download...-35-65010.html

Hope this will help.....I find that having all screenshots in a specific folder is simpler for me...As I also use it for IL2 1946.....etc...

You used CTRL-F11 to take the screenshots? You checked your SH3 directory?

You can also try doing a find in Windows. Search for SH3Img*. You're looking for files with bitmap extention (.bmp).

I use infranview. Open your viewer to the options page and there should be a section that allows you to send the screenshot to a particular place. I send mine to a desktop folder named sh3. Hope that helps.

Just a side note. If you do not set up your viewer to send the shot to a particular place, you could be looking for your pics for a long time. Microsoft says the screenshots go into your pictures folder but I have been burned. It is not always true.
