Tanks could soon get night time invisibility thanks to a cloaking device that masks their infra-red signature.
BAE estimates that the technology could be ready to put into production in two years.

They better fix their Chally-2 fire-control system first! From all I hear and read about it, it is so exotic and different than anyone else's that everybody could immediately identify it as a typically British design.* :D
Gaining invisibility - at night. Oh those Brits. Everybody else would have chosen invisibility at daylight. :DL

I've come across this before and would ask the same question again...would an invader have any hesitation in shooting anything that moved in a period of extreme tension? :hmmm:
Impressive, I wonder if they'll put this in with the cloak they were testing a year or two ago.

Or with the cloak the Danes brought over to Afghanistan a few years ago.

Hey - the funding for such frivolity and wishful thinking has to come from somewhere! :nope:

I think we all know the real reason the military has developed this... all the causalities in Afghanistan have really been caused by a Predator....
