Silent Hunter II - General Questions

I play the three newer titles in the series (3-5), but I've been considering a purchase of Silent Hunter II for use on my netbook. The netbook is generally used for old DOS/Windows games, while I leave the more demanding items for my desktop machine. Specs: 1.66GHz Atom 455, Intel 3150 graphics, 2GB RAM, and Windows XP.

Questions:

What resolution does SH2 run in? MobyGames (http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/silent-hunter-ii/techinfo) indicates either 640x480 or 800x600. Is this correct?
Can the game run in window mode?

Yes, but you can also get a hi-res kit for 1024x768 here at subsim :up:

Not AFAIK

Would have been very useful back when were modding it ...
