Some from the black congressional caucus say the Tea Party would like to see them hanging on a tree, is the tree going some where, is it about too fall over, or does the tea party want too see them be more enviormentally freindly?

Ferret to the rescue! *SWOOOOSH*

The clip includes audio of Carson saying, "We have seen change in
Congress... The Tea Party is stopping that change. This is the beyond
symbolic change. This is the effort that we are seeing of Jim Crow. Some of
these folks in Congress would love to see us as second class citizens. Some
of them in Congress of this Tea Party movement would love to see you and
me... hanging on a tree."

A spokesman confirmed that it was indeed Carson who made the comments.

"The Tea Party is protecting its millionaire and oil company friends while
gutting critical services that they know protect the livelihood of African-
Americans, as well as Latinos and other disadvantaged minorities," Jason
Tomsci said. "So, yes, the congressman used strong language because the
Tea Party agenda jeopardizes our most vulnerable and leaves them
without the ability to improve their economic standing."

Why are these folks so threatin by this entity, I like seeing these folks lashing out at something that sorta doesn't exist, more than it is the mind set of the American people, if they are so worried, they should heed the will of the people that voted them into office. It's We The People, not Us to be fleeced. 1. If you believe in the Constitution you're a Tea Partier. 2 If you admire the founding fathers you're a Tea Partier. 3 If you believe in government fiscal sanity you got it you're a Tea Partier. So some folks in congress basicly told you to go to hell how do you like that...?????

This is sorta like a commercial I see here in Florida it starts as the republicans don't get it we need jobs as they protect the rich at the cost of the middle class, so the question here is, 1 who is the middle class ???? 2 Why would raising taxes on the rich help the middle class and create jobs ???? this don't make much sence either

Why are these folks so threatin by this entity,

Because the Democrat Party, which derives its power from promoting class warfare, racial division, and dividing society into little groups and pitting them against each other, has always thought it had a monopoly on grass roots organizing, with their bussed in union thugs and rented college/high school students.

So, when a true grass roots movement comes along espousing smaller government, fiscal and personal responsibility, and American exceptionalism, they naturally feel threatened when the movement gains a following the size the various tea party organizations enjoy.

Rep. Allen West, a tea party member and member of the Congressional Black Caucus has written a letter to the chairman of the CBC, Emmanuel Cleaver, requesting that he condemn Andre Carson's remarks as well as those of Rep. Maxine Waters, who said in a public forum that "The Tea Party can go straight to hell."

Yeah the first page should be showing happy Tea Party folks standing on the Jersey Shore watching the Liberals swim back to mother England, or Russia or what other country that would take such traitors.:haha::haha::haha::haha:and there should be some really big strom clouds {almost said black wouldn't want to be thought to be a racists} in the direction they are swimming, and the there should be sun beams shinning down on the Tea Partiers. God I love to color.

A question was asked. I responded. You felt the need to attack rather than come up with your own answer to the question and posting that

So, why the attack? Why the hostility?

Oh, and the various tea party movements around the nation had nothing to do with the contemptible comic book to which, I assume, you refer.
So, your attack missed the mark by a wide margin.

Ah, wait, I get it now...

Sorry, you're the one churning hostility by dropping a very poorly-considered posting and then defending by crying foul instead of qualifying - because as he points out, there's not much to qualify. So you're defending the messenger, i.e. yourself, instead of the message, because there's no message to defend. Takeda's comment was spot-on, if a little too sarcastic, I'm afraid.

Actually, as I stated earlier, your remarks are no different than the same made by those on the left regarding Republicans that hate the poor and wish to destroy the environment. It is exactly the same simple-minded argument that exists in that contemptible coloring book. The only difference is that you identify with your political team, and therefore consider that partisan propoganda to be true, while infact it is only a different side of the same card.

I call it garbage when I see it, be it from the left or the right. If that makes me a troll in your book, then I will proudly wear the moniker. And if calling you on it makes me a hostile troll, then I shall wear that one as well.

Oh wait, let's throw grandma over the cliff, Obama needs another vacation, or maybe Me shell needs to take airforce one to have her hair done in France. And what's going on with Gibson guitar,??? you wanted more government, what you get, well you got more guns in Mexico. And what was that solar company that borrowed billions from the government, that went belly up ???? And weren't we just down graded by S&P ??? I guess this is either Bush's fault or the Tea Party's, because Obama is too busy being on vacation.
And God forbid you have a couple of goats then you must have proper quarters for illegal immigrants, then you must provide legal wages for the illegals, and if I wanted a goat herder he would have his own home to go back to. So you want more Government ? Let's see if I forgot anything, oh yeah what are you, going to do when the EPA starts shutting down coal fire electric plants.????? And by the way I'm not happy that are some in Congress running around the country insighting racial tensions, and class warfare, that's what started this thread in the first place. Just remember these folks aren't out to do service for you, they are out for themselves and the estabishment. YOU GO TEA PARTY WOLVERINES !!!!!!!!!!!!

OS, I like you, and your posts are usually fun to read as well as informative. The problem was your opening statement.

Because the Democrat Party, which derives its power from promoting class warfare, racial division, and dividing society into little groups and pitting them against each other, has always thought it had a monopoly on grass roots organizing, with their bussed in union thugs and rented college/high school students.
This was as one-sided and biased as anything I've ever accused Gimpy of, only from the other side. It serves no purpose, defines nothing and blames all of the country's problems on "the other guys", hence Takeda's reaction. Even if everything you said is true it's still biased and one-sided. And it's not demonstrably true, so it's opinion, which is fine, but you state it as fact.

I've watched Takeda Shingen in action for years now, and while, like the rest of us, he's only human, "Troll" is one word I'd never apply to him.

Did or did not a department of the Fed funnel weapons to Mexico ?????? Did or did not a member of congress say the the Tea Party should go to hell ????? Did or did not a member of congress say the Tea Party would like to see them hanging on a tree ????? Did or did not the S&P down grade the Fed ????? Did or did not the Obamas take seperate government planes on their last vacation???? If I get 5 out of 6 did's, then I don't know how much more sense I could make. Dems, reps, and tea-party members alike, no one knows what they're doing (or they do, and are just a bunch of corrupt whack offs.)

Dems want to give illegals a free pass. That is insanity at its finest.

Republicans are sticking to their sacred no-tax oath (including closing loopholes), just to name one of their most recent idiotic decision (along with a hint of mental retardation in every other area)

Im not going to bother where the tea partyists are concerned. their heads are just not screwed on right.

I dont know why people take sides anymore. Its the definition of a catch 22, and the fate of an entire country rests in the hands of a bunch of imbeciles and greedy pigs. :nope:

Sure, is a hell of a mess ain't it.:nope::nope: Now the Fed, wants to sue the banks, for the home loan mess, from under the Fed policy, what was community reinvestment, in which the banks were pressured to give loans to folks, that couldn't afford them in the first place, gotta love it liberals turning on liberals. Then we got gun walkergate that's about to come to a wild out come too.

Really, the Dems promote class warfare, racial division, etc...Hard to accept that if you're a race that was discrimanated against for 90% of our nations history.

What you're really saying is all these little groups should accept their lot in life and not fight for equality.

CaptainHaplo
09-03-11, 09:17 PM
OS - the problem is that while you may have valid points, you have not atriculated them from a position that promotes the positive. In essence, your playing the same blame game, class division, et al that you accuse the other side of.

Instead - offer some solutions and define how they would fix the problem. If your a tea partier, focus on why certain actions would improve the situation by comparison to what has already failed.

@Armistead - 90% of our nations history? This country has been around for ~235 years now. 90% of that is 211.5 years. So your saying that people of minority status have been discriminated against up until roughly 1996.....

What happened then to fix it all? More importantly, how does the OP's desired point - a congressman stating that an entire group of politically minded citizens with a view he disagrees with wants to lynch minorities *which is entirely inaccurate, inappropriate and divisive* be taken as anything but an attempt to generate angst and anger against others?

Not every person on the left hates the US, or wants to kill babies, or any other of that nonsense. However, there are those that speak in ways designed to inflame racial divisions, and this is an example of it - for no good reason.
