Hi guys

Well basicallyi had SH5 on about a year ago, with the 5770. The card got very hot and the game had a bit of stuttering.

I have windows 7,64 bit, Quad 6600, 8 gigs ram.

Is there anybody running similar configuration and how is it going with all the new mods, al la open horizon,TDW enhanced campaign.

I have installed a new case and fans(because of the previously mentioned heat issue), but i just want to see if anybody is running the game with this card and how it runs, and perhaps see you mod load out?

been looking at the screen shots and i'm itching to get back.

New card only in a few months:shifty:

Cheers

Try antilag
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=2871

try settings at
[config]
RenderAheadLimit=2
FPSlimit=0

dont install with the mod enabler , just put the 2 files in your main SH5 game folder .

I have a pretty similar system (Win 7, 8gigs of Ram, Phenom II QC, ATI 5770). It runs everything pretty smoothly and nothing is overclocked. I have the fan set for 50% and it stays around 60-65c even after a few hours of play. Just make sure your case has good airflow and adding a few more fans never hurts and you can get decent case fans fairly cheaply off Newegg.com or Tigerdirect.

I would be lucky if mine did that mate. I bought a new case (silencio 550), and the cards idle temp is 56deg. Still its alot cooler than it was (also blowed all the dust outta it, which helped)

Gonna drill and install a fan to blow cold directly onto the card.
The load up Sh5, anti lag ans take a looksee.

Good to know the system is adequate.

Thanks guys

I have almost no problem at all with the ati 5770 and my intel i5-750 (using most of the must-have mods: MO, OHII Full, TDW UIs, enviromental mods, etc). No overheating for sure. The only minor problem i've experienced is that when i use full Shadows, the fps drop to 1-2 which leads to heavy stuttering. Setting the Shadows bar in the middle cures that.
