Given the state of things here in the US the Chinese postings shouldn't be amazed that Ambassador Locke is carrying his own bag or ordering his own coffee. They should be amazed he isn't wearing a barrel and begging for coffee.

Joke aside that's a very good PR for the ambassador. And growing Chinese middle class is just awesome. They are not hesitant to think critically and have a voice and not afraid to say their opinion. Their presence is crucial if China wants to position itself among major world power. Any world power must have an empowered society. One that can think.
