SH4 Install Issue

Hey guys,

I bought SH4 years ago on direct2drive, never had any issues with it. However i recently tried to reinstall and play and when i get to the activation screen it gives me "activation FAILED: unknown error". I think i have read that others have had issues with this and most just gave up and bought another copy of the game, i would really rather not do that, anyone have any ideas for a workaround on this?

Whenever you re-install the game, you must again activate the game via your activation code. This is done automatically by the game, when you punch in the code, by the means of accessing ubisoft's servers. The problem is, those servers may be offline or with some minor difficulty. It has happened to me before.

My suggestion would be to try again tomorrow.

I've already bought the game once...why should i have to pay for it twice? Not going to do that, i'll resort to other means if i have to lol.

Use whatever means you like, but be advised there are certain things we do not discuss here at Subsim. Read the rules carefully, as we live and quickly die by them.
