Very good work!
This guy positions his light sources in a way to increase the 3D effect; he aligns them with the shadows they supposedly throw.

I wonder how the stuff would look as a tattoo, under changing light conditions.

Along the same vein, the 2011 Grand Rapids Art Prize winner (http://photos.mlive.com/grandrapidspress/2011/08/chris_laportes_calvary_moved_f.html).

The artist drew this picture using nothing but #2 pencils. It was amazing.

Jeez, that's impressive! Wish the paper'd get the name right, though. It's C-A-V-A-L-R-Y.
