Torpedo Guide for SH4 U-boat Missions?

I have been trying to find a torpedo guide for SH4 U-boat Missions and a renown guide for the same without any success? Does anyone know if sinking a battleship gets you full renown when compared with merchants? It would be nice to have some information about (any and all guides) the Walter turbine powered torpedo!

You can find out all this for yourself by opening up the SH4 folder to Data/Sea. In that folder you will find the folders for each ship in the game. The very first file is a text file called N****_Shipname that will open with Notepad. There are many, so I will just give you a couple of samples.

NKMCS_Heito: RenownAwarded=150
NLL (Liberty Ship): RenownAwarded=220
NOTMS (T2 Tanker): RenownAwarded=340
NPC_Black_Swan: RenownAwarded=125
NBB_KGeorgeV: RenownAwarded=1700
NCV_Illustrious: RenownAwarded=900

is there any file in the data or have anyone post anything about the torpedos damage, better against escorts, speed - saffer (dud torpedos, hardly spotted by the enemy) relations about it?

If you select a torpedo in the management screen it will give you the info in a box at the bottom of the page. If you do it in port it will give you info for any torpedoes available to 'buy'.
The info comes from
Data/UPCDataGE/UPCLocalization.tsr, open it with notepad. It will show the name, info, and Notes.

Example:
T1Torpedo-Name=T I (G7a) Torpedo
T1Torpedo-Info=Propulsion: <b>gas/steam</b>|Speed: <b>44-40-30 knots</b>|Range: <b>5-7.5-12.5 km</b>
T1Torpedo-Notes=The standard torpedo of the U-boat force. Steam powered, its fast but may be spotted by well trained enemy watchmen.
