Went to Cedar Point (http://www.cedarpoint.com/)this weekend. Last time was in 1989. I was REALLY hoping the building with all the old arcade games was still around.

The building was gone, but there was a new pagoda type building with some games, and what to my wondering eyes should appear, but:

Asteroids, Lunar Lander, Donkey Kong, Pac Man, Ms. Pac Man, Centipede, Gauntlet, Berserk, Gorf, Wizard of Wor, and Robotron. No Joust or Defender, but a wonderful time was had by all. My wife, the two youngest and I spent an hour shoving quarters into the Gauntlet machine. I swear, I was almost in tears.

Glad you had fun. You should check out the arcade machines on ebay and give the others a hint for your birthday! :D

The late 70s. Friday and Saturday night at the rink.

A haze of girls, pepsi, Seawolf, foosball and Atari Football (http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=13018).

Oh yeah, skated a bit too.

Is it true that this game really came out in 1969?

Possibly. There were a few electro-mechanical submarine arcade games, and iirc, Sea Raiders wasn't the first.
