Hi,
I'm back to SH3-GWX after a long while, on the 7th career sortie: while re-learning the sim, I've read of people mentioning fog.... I've met every kind of weather, except for fog, so far

did I forget anything?
am I missing something?

thanks

* in case, I'm sorry for missing any reply in the forums: it looks like "fog" is not a word liked by the search engine :)

Given the right weather parameters you will certainly experience fog in GWX.

would you please tell which parameters?
do I have to edit something?

No...the weather changes often in GWX (some would say too often) so I am suprised you've never come across it before unless of course you don't play it that often.

I remember working on the GWX3.0 weather prior to release for about a fortnight and it was nigh on impossible to dictate changing conditions without going from one extreme to the other.

...which parts of the Atlantic - is it regional. do some areas experience it more than others?

i'd love to get stuck in a pea-souper.

There is no real fog in SH3, i.e. the kind that forms in a dead calm. The game unrealistically produces fog in conditions where real fog can't exist, very bad weather. It's all screwed up and can't be fixed.

Try SH3 Weather Standalone Mod. It has all kinds of adjustments.

4 settings for Fog. From Light to Heavy.

Is that the random weather generator that starts with Commander?.It gives us the possibility of varying weather at the start of the patrol, which is totally realistic.
I use it and it seems quite good :yep:
