Amy Deal, a 59 pound 10 year old died of what the guardians claimed was a late night game of hide and seek where she hid in a small trunk and fell asleep and suffocated. That was the news 2 weeks ago. Today I find out the Grandmother , Aunt (Legal Guardian) and another Aunt and Uncle were arrested for ritual torture and first degree murder of this poor girl.
Not that that isn't bad enough they had the entire family of children in on it too! This one little girl was the TARGET of this twisted family's obsession to hurt and torture.
She was often locked into a small locker that she barely fit into and then the locker was kicked, thrown and tumbled.
She was forced to do back bends (Where you arch backwards and only your hands and feet touch the ground) For several hours at a time.
She was forced to walk barefoot on Phoenix's hot sidewalks as punishment
She was forced to crush cans barefoot
She was ritually starved then punished for stealing food
Other children would tell lies to get her punished
When she failed to pick up all of the dog droppings in the yard it was smeared on her face and she was forced to eat the remains.
On the day she died she took a popsicle so she was made to run outside in the back yard until she collapsed of heat exhaustion (It was 104 degrees) where she was then picked up overheating and dehydrated and locked into her punishment box and forgotten about until the next morning when she was found dead.
Amy Deal you may have never known a life of peace but at least there is a good chance your pathetic pigfamily of murderers will know a little Justice! RIP

The worst thing in this case their victim is a little girl :nope:

How absolutely horrifying!! poor little dear, they should sentence these sicko's to life in the Hanoi Hilton!:nope:

As I have said before, I am often angered and disgusted at the depths that humans can sink, but never surprised. :nope:

I wonder how no neighbors noticed that a child living on their street was being forced to walk down the hot street barefoot?Would not someone have noticed this? I live a a rural area but if I see some kid walking down a blacktop road in the middle of summer with no shoes on that is going to make me ask some questions.I mean maybe I am more observant than most people but how did someone not notice this child walking around in her yard picking up dog crap?
I must admit if I caught adults doing something like this in the act...well lets just say it would not be pretty and I'd possibly spend some time in prison but it would be worth it because it would be the dawn of a better life for the kid theyd be happy that I showed up.
I just don't see how things like this can remain hidden how can other people not notice that something is seriously wrong before it is too late?
Sick **** like this is nothing new though my grandmother had some family that lived near her home do the same kind of crime and this was in the late 1920's.If the entire family in this Arizona case was involved I cant help but wonder if this was something that had been going on for many years.
All I can say is vile people will get their judgment day in the end and that punishment will be truly just and last forever.

Something that has always struck me as odd ... we have so called "Hate Crime" modifiers that punish people additionally because of a perceived motivation regarding protected classes, but we don't have anything that enhances a crime when its motivated by general depravity. l
People who commit such heinous crimes merely for entertainment purposes should receive the most severe of punishments. But hey - if the victim isn't gay or black, he's just another victim, right?

Disgusting. It's pity that "civilized" society first just let this happen and then most likely is unable to really punish these people. In my opinion they should die the same way as their victim! :arrgh!:

Castout hit the nail on the head: psychopaths are the bane of civilization, and so far there is no cure except death. They might as well be another species; physically they are human, but they have no conscience and regard morality as weakness; they have no ability to feel higher emotions like love or empathy for anyone. Our ordinary forms of punishment cannot "teach them a lesson"; the only thing psychopaths fear is getting caught.
If this condition is genetic, not caused by environment, then we need to get these people out of the gene pool and out of all positions of authority. If you hate and fear psychopaths who torture and kill children, those are actually the least successful members of their kind. The most successful have learned to simulate normal human behavior and, unhindered by principles, they have risen to the very top of our society, where they control the fate of millions.

You know I teach a kids' class every week at the dojo and I feel like those are MY kids. Sometimes I moan and complain to myself about doing it but once I'm with them they bring me such joy... I look at those little faces smiling up at me and I can't stand the thought of anyone wanting to hurt them. It just makes me SO ANGRY that there are people out there who would do it in a heartbeat and not think twice.
That sometimes it's a kid's own family, who should be LOVING and PROTECTING the child, just makes it worse. GOD that is so wrong. I know it's not the way it works for creeps like that but IF YOU HAVE TO BE THAT WAY THEN AT LEAST PICK ON SOMEONE YOUR OWN SIZE. :stare: :nope:
There's not really much you can say about that.
Better in the doing than the saying.

The problem with psychopaths is that they happen to be a part of the human race unfortunately and obviously have been around since day one.Nothing much that can be done about that besides hoping that you can discover one before they do much damage to others.Of course the problem is they know that what they do is wrong and will attempt to hide it from those who would object.

Revolting, sick and nauseating yes. Surprising? The real question is what is wrong with the society that produces these defects. It will keep producing them until this is addressed and answered.

I was actually cringing reading the thread, I felt such anger and disgust. I was starting to well up, I couldn't bare to read much more. @ Fiewillige I have seen some bad things in my time, I have a 7 year old daughter, I understand your thread, Though I don't know how you muster the courage to even type about it. No disrespect to you sir, I shall avoid reading these type of threads, it wrecked havoc on my emotions there.
