Pvt. Nasser Jason Abdo, an AWOL soldier from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, was arrested by the Killeen Police Department near Fort Hood and remains in custody there.

Abdo was allegedly found with weapons and explosives at the time of his arrest, a senior Army source confirms to Fox News. He was arrested at around 2 p.m. Wednesday after someone called authorities to report a suspicious individual.

Bob Jenkins, a Fort Campbell spokesman, told Fox News that Abdo was also being investigated for child pornography found on his government computer."Nasser"? Sounds like a nice Irish Catholic kid to me...

Just because there has been what now two Army members of a particular decent does not mean much I served with several people who where of various Muslim backgrounds in the military and I never once found reason to distrust them.

I have a good friend form high in the US Army and a Sargent in his unit during one of his Iraq tours was born in Syria was a muslim and cloud speak Arabic and his skills saved their lives(I'm sure he was just taking his time and did not get the chance to betray his fellow soldiers...sarcasm)

Sounds more like this guy is a bit of a nut case that happens to have an Arab name seeing as he also had child porn on a government PC.My guess a bad apple that knew he was going to go down so he went AWOL also probably dislikes the Army as well and is not man enough to take a gun and place it against his temple and pop a round off so he was gong to go the suicide by cop route so to speak.A bad apple that should have been screened out from enlisting just all bad apples should be regardless of creed. This dude is a **** up and was trying to go down with some attention.

Also why does everyone forget the terrorist Timothy McVeigh? He also served in the US Army in order to receive training that he later used for a terrorist act.No one says that you cant trust any white person in the US military though.
